Cooperstown, NY – 08.22.14
-Foggy drive through the Catskill Mountains of New York.
-We stole our friend Emily Fox from New York City for a couple of nights to get out of the busy streets and into the wilderness.
-Ommegang Brewery tasting and tour. Yum!
-We had an entire cornfield to ourselves throughout our four night stay.
-Hosing down the shaggy pup! Willow was not a huge fan.
New York City made us a little bit anxious because of the commotion and noise. Since we both grew up in suburbs of Boston with space to roam, it was nice to not hear beeping and road rage. We arrived to an empty campground, bought pies and cookies from the Amish and heard a pack of wild coyotes take out a small animal while we roasted marshmallows around a campfire. The Baseball Hall of Fame was the big Cooperstown attraction but we chose beer instead and went to see the Ommegang Brewery to learn a thing or two. It was great to catch up with an our old friend Emily and finally feel like we’re camping. Having an entire cornfield to ourselves was such a treat and this ended being one of our favorite stops to date.
Get ya peanuts!
